For the second straight game, Scappoose will face off against Tillamook. The Indians will be playing at home against the Cheesemakers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Scappoose is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.1 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Scappoose was able to grind out a solid win over Tillamook, taking the game 6-2. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Cheesemakers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Saige Casey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ava Vetsch was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Ashlynn Komp was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Scappoose kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tillamook only managed two hits.

Scappoose's win bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Tillamook, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.

Tillamook's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Scappoose has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Tillamook, though, as they've been averaging only 2.4 strikeouts. Will Scappoose keep running through batters, or will the Cheesemakers buck the trend?
