Volleyball Recap: Sunrise Mountain Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Sunrise Mountain dropped their record down to 14-12 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's eight-game streak of wins at home. They came up short against the Legacy Longhorns, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Longhorns this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

As for Legacy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. The win was nothing new for Legacy as they're now sitting on six straight.

Legacy can attribute much of their success to Jacob Bay, who had 18 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Bay has posted since back in April of 2024.

Sunrise Mountain wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Durango on the 24th. As for Legacy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Southeast Career Tech on the 24th.
