Soccer Recap: Juarez-Lincoln Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Juarez-Lincoln was not quite Palmview's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Palmview Lobos by a score of 2-1. The Huskies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lobos earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

This is the second loss in a row for Juarez-Lincoln and nudges their season record down to 7-4. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-6 Mission Veterans Memorial (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 67.5% over those games). As for Palmview, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Juarez-Lincoln will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mission Veterans Memorial at 8:00 p.m. on March 11th. As for Palmview, they will face off against Nixon at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
