Baseball Recap: Center Moriches Picks Up Eighth Straight Win on the Road

Center Moriches barely beat Pierson the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Red Devils blew past the Whalers 8-0 on Tuesday. Eight seems to be a good number for the Red Devils as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Not much got past Dan Gilroy, who gave up just four hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Pierson off the board. Gilroy has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Max Rayburn, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Hromada, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
