Baseball Recap: Winnebago Takes a Loss

Winnebago was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 9-5 to the Rockford Christian Royal Lions. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Royal Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Winnebago's loss dropped their record down to 8-19. As for Rockford Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season.

Winnebago will be playing in front of their home fans against Lena-Winslow at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games. Rockford Christian will be paying especially close attention to Winnebago's contest: after Winnebago faces off against Lena-Winslow, they'll take on Rockford Christian again at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
