Volleyball Recap: Calipatria Comes Up Short

After flying high against Vincent Memorial on Monday, Calipatria came back down to earth. The Hornets came up short against the Calexico Bulldogs on Wednesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-2 defeat last Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-18, 25-15.

Calipatria's loss dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Calexico, they pushed their record up to 8-18 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Calipatria will square off against rival Palo Verde Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Calexico is set to challenge their familiar foe Vincent Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
