Seneca Valley won the last time they faced Richard Montgomery and things went their way on Friday too. The Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles came out on top against the Richard Montgomery Rockets by a score of 53-44. Given the Screamin' Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Rockets are ranked 149th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Seneca Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayden Addison led the charge by putting up 19 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. That's the most boards Addison has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Teagan Phillips, who posted 18 points.

Seneca Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Seneca Valley's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Richard Montgomery, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-7.
