Pioneer Valley Regional saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luci Burnap, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Another was Layla Goulston, who went 2-for-3 with one triple.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Frontier Regional, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They never let Mohawk Trail Regional get on the board and left with a 24-0 win on Tuesday. The Red Hawks haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Raine Wonsey made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Wonsey was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Skyler Steele was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Abigail Schreiber was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Frontier Regional kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2024.
Frontier Regional's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Pioneer Valley Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
