Dan River had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Everything went their way against the Chatham Cavaliers as they made off with an 11-1 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-9 back in April.

Dan River pushed their record up to 8-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Chatham, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dan River will head out to square off against Martinsville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Chatham, they will venture away from home to take on Appomattox County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cavaliers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
