Baseball Game Preview: Orange Panthers vs. Williams Bulldogs

The Orange Panthers will challenge the Williams Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Wednesday, Orange came up short against Southeast Alamance and fell 6-3.

Orange saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Oliver Van Tiem, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Gary Miller also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Williams was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Orange. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 21, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Williams' defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Orange, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.

Orange skirted past Williams 2-1 in their previous meeting on Tuesday. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
