Preview: Bonita Bearcats vs. St. Bonaventure Seraphs
The Bonita Bearcats will face off against the St. Bonaventure Seraphs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a six-game winning streak alive.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bonita walked away with it. They skirted past the Tillers 44-41.
Meanwhile, St. Bonaventure can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent match on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 59-36 margin over Inglewood. The score was close at the half, but St. Bonaventure pulled away in the second half with 34 points.
St. Bonaventure's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dylan Benner, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. Mathew Wilson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds and six assists.
Bonita pushed their record up to 20-8 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points per game. As for St. Bonaventure, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.
