Baseball Game Preview: Normal West Wildcats vs. Mt. Zion Braves

The Normal West Wildcats will head out to square off against the Mt. Zion Braves at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Normal West is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

Normal West is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Saturday. They fell 11-8 to Glenwood.

Brady Hart and Sean Jenkins did some serious damage despite the final result: Hart got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one run, while Jenkins went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Mt. Zion didn't have quite enough to beat Mahomet-Seymour on Saturday and fell 8-7. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Normal West's defeat dropped their record down to 19-12. As for Mt. Zion, their loss dropped their record down to 18-8.
