Recap: Crest Chargers vs. South Point Red Raiders

The Crest Chargers waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They came out on top against South Point by a score of 62-52. This was a revenge game for Crest, as the team was forced to settle for a 73-62 loss when these two played two weeks ago.

Monica Surratt continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 34 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaira Faulkner, who scored six points along with six rebounds and three steals.

South Point's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maddie Frank, who scored 20 points along with five steals. Frank is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last four games she's played. Amya Graham was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 17 rebounds.

Crest has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for South Point, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-9.

Crest will be playing at home against Stuart W. Cramer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Stuart W. Cramer is coming into the match with eight straight wins on the road, so Crest will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. South Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
