Baseball Recap: Eisenhower Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Edmond Santa Fe, Eisenhower was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Santa Fe South Saints, sneaking past 6-5. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Saints: they've now won nine in a row.

The team relied heavily on Santana Gordon, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayden Vickers, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Eisenhower kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Eisenhower's victory bumped their record up to 4-15-1. As for Santa Fe South, their loss dropped their record down to 4-15.

Looking ahead, Eisenhower will take on Shawnee at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Santa Fe South, they will square off against Ponca City at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
