Basketball Recap: Stoney Creek Comes Up Short

If Stoney Creek was feeling good fresh off their 51-26 takedown of Seaholm last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Stoney Creek Cougars took a 46-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ferndale Eagles. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Cougars came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while the Eagles are ranked 221st).

Stoney Creek's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Ferndale, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-12.

Looking ahead, Stoney Creek will head out to face off against Lake Orion at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ferndale, they will be playing at home against Oxford at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
