Basketball Game Preview: Campbell County Camels vs. St. Thomas More Cavaliers

Campbell County hasn't had much luck against St. Thomas More recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Campbell County Camels will venture away from home to take on the St. Thomas More Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. Campbell County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.3 points per game this season.

Campbell County is headed into Saturday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They were beaten by Scottsbluff 82-46. While the Camels didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bearcats 24-18 in the first quarter.

Truman Degrange put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted 18 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Andela, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 14 points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Thomas More). They breezed by Belle Fourche to the tune of 69-21 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cavaliers.

Campbell County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for St. Thomas More, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

Campbell County came up short against St. Thomas More in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 62-57. Can Campbell County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
