Madison Central and Scott County squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Madison Central had to settle for second. They fell 7-3 to the Cardinals. The Indians' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Madison Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mollie Neeley, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.

Madison Central's defeat dropped their record down to 21-6. As for Scott County, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 24-5.

As of now, neither Madison Central nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
