Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Wilton

Wilton posted their closest victory since January 7th on Friday. They skirted past the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks 85-82. The win was all the more spectacular given the Beavers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 309th, while the Golden Hawks are ranked 64th).

The victory made it two in a row for Wilton and bumps their season record up to 4-14. As for Mid-Prairie, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 15-3 record.

Wilton will square off against West Branch at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th. As for Mid-Prairie, they will welcome Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Mid-Prairie's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
