Kettle Run had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Meridian Mustangs as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won five in a row.

Kettle Run not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Meridian between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19, 25-16.

Meridian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Kettle Run and Warren County will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Meridian, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Unity Reed at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
