Mt. Enterprise piles up the points against New Summerfield

Recap: Mt. Enterprise Wildcats vs. New Summerfield Hornets

Even though the Mt. Enterprise Wildcats have not done well against the New Summerfield Hornets recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Mt. Enterprise breezed by New Summerfield on the road to the tune of 64-12. That looming 64-12 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Mt. Enterprise yet this season.

Mt. Enterprise's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tracey Thompson, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Thompson has scored all season. Jack Maples was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and two blocks.

Mt. Enterprise has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for New Summerfield, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-22.

Mt. Enterprise will head out on the road to square off against Overton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Overton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mt. Enterprise in Texas (Overton is ranked 486th, while Mt. Enterprise is ranked 1041st). As for New Summerfield, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Cushing at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th. Cushing is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
