Volleyball Game Preview: Gibraltar Vikings vs. Roncalli Jets

The Gibraltar Vikings are taking a road trip to challenge the Roncalli Jets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Gibraltar has struggled recently with 12 losses in a row, while Roncalli will arrive with five straight wins.

Gibraltar lost 3-0 to Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran on Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-5, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Roncalli hadn't done well against Mishicot recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Jets were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Indians. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Jets yet this season.

Roncalli never let Mishicot on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-23, 25-15.

Gibraltar's defeat dropped their record down to 5-23. As for Roncalli, the victory got them back to even at 14-14.

Gibraltar was able to grind out a solid win over Roncalli in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Jets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
