Softball Recap: Rosehill Christian Comes Up Short

Rosehill Christian lost against John Paul II last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rosehill Christian Eagles came up short against the John Paul II Centurions, falling 24-13. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Janah Mease made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Morgan Russo, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Rosehill Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for John Paul II, they pushed their record up to 2-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Rosehill Christian Eagles challenge Frassati Catholic Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on March 18th. John Paul II will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Incarnate Word Academy on March 21st.
