Baseball Recap: Jacksonville Takes a Loss

Jacksonville's last matchup with Nacogdoches could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Jacksonville Fightin' Indians came up short against the Nacogdoches Dragons, falling 8-1. The Fightin' Indians just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Jacksonville's record now sits at 1-10. As for Nacogdoches, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11.

Coming up, Jacksonville will venture away from home to face off against Tyler at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tyler has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.88 runs per game on average), something Jacksonville will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Nacogdoches, they will take on Lufkin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
