Basketball Recap: Memorial Lutheran Falls to Founders Christian in First Game of Season

Memorial Lutheran had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were outmatched by the Founders Christian Falcons and fell 50-21.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Founders Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kade Jones, who posted 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb King, who went 5 of 9 en route to 13 points and eight boards.

Founders Christian is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Memorial Lutheran will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Founders Christian at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th. As for Founders Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 57-25 win against Second Baptist University-Model on the 17th.
