The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Phoenix came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 176th, while the Lions are ranked 416th).

This is the second loss in a row for Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate and nudges their season record down to 8-5. As for King, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 4-8-1 record.

Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate will challenge Carrollwood Day at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for King, they will face off against Plant City at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
