Softball Recap: Hope Christian Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, Hope Christian finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They lost 16-1 to the St. Michael's Horsemen. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Horsemen apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Hope Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella McFadden, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

The loss snapped Hope Christian's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-5 record. As for St. Michael's, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hope Christian will welcome Bernalillo at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Michael's, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against West Las Vegas at 11:00 a.m. The timing is sure in the Horsemen's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while the Dons have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
