Basketball Recap: DSST: Cedar Takes a Loss

If DSST: Cedar was riding high fresh off their 63-36 takedown of KIPP Denver Collegiate last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The DSST: Cedar Falcons lost 61-35 to the Peak to Peak Pumas on Wednesday. The Falcons were down 50-21 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

It was another big night for Alexandra Eschmeyer, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 13 boards for Peak to Peak. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Eschmeyer has scored at least a third of Peak to Peak's points. Sydney Lewis was another key player, putting up 11 points and six steals.

DSST: Cedar dropped their record down to 2-3 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Peak to Peak, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

DSST: Cedar wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 53-42 win against DSST: Montview on the 10th. As for Peak to Peak, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-27 defeat against Green Mountain on the 10th.
