Basketball Recap: Coleman Comes Up Short

Coleman lost against Kiowa back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Coleman Wildcats fell 46-35 to the Kiowa Cowboys. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 395th, while the Cowboys are ranked 104th).

Coleman's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Kiowa, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coleman has already played their next match (against Calvin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Kiowa will square off against Savanna at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Savanna: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Kiowa has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
