While Seguin's victory against Everman wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars won by a run and slipped past the Bulldogs 13-12. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Ixchel Lincon made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Leyla Flowers, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. Dariana Martin was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs.

Seguin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive contests.

Seguin's record now sits at 10-13. As for Everman, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-15.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Seguin is set to square off against their familiar foe Centennial at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Everman will take on rival Mansfield Timberview at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
