Volleyball Game Preview: Dougherty Valley Wildcats vs. Foothill Falcons

Dougherty Valley hasn't had much luck against Foothill recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Dougherty Valley Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Foothill Falcons at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Dougherty Valley came up short against Granada and fell 3-1. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dougherty Valley couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Granada a tough time in the third set. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-22, 36-34, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Foothill unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of San Ramon Valley.

Foothill was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made San Ramon Valley work for it, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 19-25, 27-25, 25-22.

Foothill's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-5. As for Dougherty Valley, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Dougherty Valley might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Foothill in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Dougherty Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
