Baseball Recap: North Johnston Takes a Loss

North Johnston lost against South Johnston back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Panthers fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 7-6. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maurice Love was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Seth Scott was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

North Johnston's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for South Johnston, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

North Johnston will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bunn at 6:30 p.m. on the 25th. As for South Johnston, they will head out on the road to face off against Smithfield-Selma at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
