Sands's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They escaped with a win against the Loop Longhorns by the margin of a single free throw, 1-0. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Longhorns recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

The victory got Sands back to even at 16-16. As for Loop, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sands will take on rival Dawson at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Loop is set to challenge their familiar foe Borden County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
