Baseball Recap: School of the Arts Gets the Win

While School of the Arts's win against Edison Tech wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Silverhawks skirted past the Inventors 6-4. The victory continues a trend for the Silverhawks in their matchups with the Inventors: they've now won four in a row.

Henry Hawkinson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. He is becoming a predictor of School of the Arts' success: when he allows at most three hits the team is undefeated (and 7-8 when he doesn't). Hawkinson was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Hawkinson wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Benjamin Barnosky, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

School of the Arts' win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Edison Tech, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

School of the Arts has already played their next contest, a 7-4 loss against Notre Dame on the 20th. As for Edison Tech, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 22-1 defeat against Webster Thomas on the 22nd.
