Basketball Game Preview: St. Brendan Sabres vs. True North Classical Academy Titans

The St. Brendan Sabres will square off against the True North Classical Academy Titans at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Brendan will be strutting in after a win while True North Classical Academy will be coming in after a loss.

On Thursday, St. Brendan got the win against Braddock by a conclusive 53-29. The Sabres haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

St. Brendan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Olivia Lopez led the charge by putting up 11 points. Those 11 points gave Lopez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Claudia Luis, who posted 11 points.

Meanwhile, True North Classical Academy came up short against Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) on Thursday and fell 52-44.

True North Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for St. Brendan, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

St. Brendan didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against True North Classical Academy in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 53-47 win. Will the Sabres repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
