Football Recap: DeRidder Comes Up Short + How To Watch

DeRidder came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 39-14 to the Leesville Wampus Cats. It was the first time this season that the Dragons let down their fans at home.

Although DeRidder took the loss, they still got scores from Javaughn Fairley and Jaiden Cooper.

Leesville was led to victory by Grant Braxton and Trel Broom. Braxton gained 266 total yards and three touchdowns, while Broom rushed for 63 yards and three touchdowns. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Broom a new career-high.

DeRidder now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Leesville, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-5 record.

DeRidder didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-8 victory against LaGrange on the 24th. As for Leesville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 47-28 win against Washington-Marion on the 24th.
