Softball Recap: Parkview Baptist Continues Home Dominance on Wednesday

Parkview Baptist took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Central Private, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles skirted past the Redhawks 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since March 14th.

Jolie Gawlik was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Young, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Parkview Baptist's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-11. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Central Private, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkview Baptist will host Denham Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Central Private, they will be playing at home against Plaquemine at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
