Basketball Recap: Sandy Valley Takes a Loss

Sandy Valley was the 55-49 winner over Carrollton when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Sandy Valley Cardinals fell just short of the Carrollton Warriors by a score of 48-46 on Saturday. The Cardinals' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Sandy Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Carrollton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-4.

Sandy Valley will square off against Tuscarawas Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sandy Valley is facing Tuscarawas Valley at the right time seeing as Tuscarawas Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Carrollton, they will face off against West Branch at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carrollton will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: West Branch will have lost three straight heading into Tuesday's game.
