Basketball Game Preview: Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers vs. Morgantown Mohigans

Buckhannon-Upshur is 0-10 against Morgantown since December of 2018 but things could change on Wednesday. The Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers will head out on the road to face off against the Morgantown Mohigans at 7:30 p.m. Buckhannon-Upshur is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.2 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Buckhannon-Upshur didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Parkersburg, but they still walked away with a 60-55 win.

Jerin Westfall continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 25 points and 11 boards. His big performance that evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Brody Mcdaniels, who posted 12 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Morgantown faced Parkersburg South in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. Morgantown took a 60-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Parkersburg South.

Morgantown's loss dropped their record down to 15-2. As for Buckhannon-Upshur, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.

Buckhannon-Upshur suffered a grim 63-42 defeat to Morgantown in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Buckhannon-Upshur avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
