When it comes to explaining why Denver Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nolan Monasch. Despite the final result, he scored 33 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Janssen, who scored six points.
Leading Bishop Machebeuf to victory were Kibre Sibhat and Miles Edgar-Parchman. Sibhat went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 1 assist, while Edgar-Parchman dropped a triple-double on ten points, 12 rebounds, and ten assists. Edgar-Parchman has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played. Another player making a difference was Landon Sulser, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Denver Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Bishop Machebeuf, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
Denver Academy will head out on the road to take on Union Colony Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. That game will pit two of the most dominant against one another: Tanner Sarchet and Monasch.
