Soccer Recap: Preston Takes a Loss

Preston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Burley Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Burley this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-1 back in August.

Preston's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8-1. As for Burley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Preston will take on Pocatello at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Burley, they will face off against Wood River at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Burley's defense better be ready for this one: Wood River have averaged an impressive 5.3 goals per game this season.
