Serrano had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Burroughs on Wednesday. The Diamondbacks blew past the Burros 3-0. The Diamondbacks were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Burros, so the Diamondbacks were just returning the favor.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-22, 26-24.

Among those leading the charge was Zoey Blanchard, who had nine digs and two aces.

The victory got Serrano back to even at 9-9. As for Burroughs, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Serrano will venture away from home to square off against Hesperia at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The Scorpions will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Diamondbacks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Burroughs, they will face off against Sultana at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
