Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Matthew Sloan's Big Game Leads East Hickman County over Loretto

Starting off the list is East Hickman County's Matthew Sloan, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Sloan rushed for 192 yards and three touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his eighth straight game with at least 119 rushing yards dating back to last season.

The win was the third in a row for East Hickman County, bringing their record for this year to 6-1. Sloan and East Hickman County will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mt. Pleasant at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.

Lewis County found a leader in Drew Ray as the squad took down Harpeth on Friday. Ray turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 121 yards and two touchdowns, while also catching a touchdown. He has become a key player for Lewis County: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.

Lewis County now has a winning record of 4-3. Ray and Lewis County will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Zion Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.

While Harpeth might've come up empty on Friday, Karson Mauk wasn't going down without a fight. Despite the defeat, Mauk was still balling out as he made nine total tackles. He also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Harpeth is 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.

Mauk and Harpeth have the luxury of staying home for another week and will welcome Jo Byrns at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Red Devils, probably because Mauk had a solid game then too: he forced a fumble and made 13 total tackles. Can he match (or beat) that performance?
