Karissa Bowes posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Friday. As a matter of fact, she produced her best game of the campaign: she struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
