Softball Recap: Indian Hills Find Success

Indian Hills never let their opponents score on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-0 win over the Lakeland Regional Lancers. The Braves haven't had any issues with the Lancers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Not much got past Audrey Amoruso, who gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Lakeland Regional off the board. Amoruso has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Sarah Cerchio and Kayla Curtin did most of the damage at the plate: Cerchio went 1-for-3 with one home run, while Curtin went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Liz Silletti also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Indian Hills' win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Lakeland Regional, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Indian Hills will square off against Northern Highlands at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lakeland Regional, they will challenge Ramsey at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
