Baseball Recap: Pyramid Lake Comes Up Short

Pyramid Lake lost against Sierra Lutheran back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pyramid Lake Lakers came up short against the Sierra Lutheran Falcons, falling 15-3.

Pyramid Lake saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cash Hall, who scored two runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3. Hall is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's stole at least three every time he's taken the field this season.

Pyramid Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2-1. As for Sierra Lutheran, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pyramid Lake will challenge Excel Christian at 10:00 a.m. on March 8th. Excel Christian has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.75 runs per game on average), something Pyramid Lake will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Sierra Lutheran, they will take on West Wendover at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Sierra Lutheran is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
