Softball Recap: Monticello Takes a Loss

Monticello lost against Glenwood back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Sages fell 6-2 to the Titans. The match marked the Sages' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Monticello saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sadie Walsh, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Monticello's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Glenwood, their record is now 10-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monticello will take on Clinton at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Glenwood, they will square off against Jacksonville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Crimsons have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
