Softball Game Preview: Beckman Patriots vs. San Juan Hills Stallions

The Beckman Patriots will head out on the road to take on the San Juan Hills Stallions at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Beckman is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

While Beckman's victory against El Toro wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Patriots skirted past the Chargers 6-4.

The team relied heavily on Jazmine Cruz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Kim, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Beckman was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for San Juan Hills' offense. They came up short against San Clemente on Thursday, falling 10-0. Considering the last time the Stallions couldn't score was back in February, the team can't take the result too hard.

Beckman pushed their record up to 17-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch. As for San Juan Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-13.

Beckman couldn't quite finish off San Juan Hills in their previous matchup back in April and fell 6-4. Can the Patriots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
