There's no place like home for Ayden - Grifton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the North Pitt Panthers 33-8 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Chargers have posted against the Panthers since September 20, 2019.

Ayden - Grifton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from EJ Ruffin, who rushed for 80 yards and one TD, and also picked up 35 receiving yards and one touchdown. Ruffin also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble and making six total tackles (0.5 for loss). Another receiver making a difference was Nygel Morgan, who picked up 134 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Ayden - Grifton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Larry Grier iii and Carter Phelps.

Despite the loss, North Pitt still got an impressive performance from Juhron Clemmons, who rushed for 160 yards on only 13 carries. Clemmons really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Cox, who rushed for 80 yards.

The victory got Ayden - Grifton back to even at 1-1. As for North Pitt, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ayden - Grifton will welcome Fike at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Pitt, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
