Baseball Game Preview: Ludlow Panthers vs. Williamstown Demons

Ludlow has gone a perfect 5-0 against Williamstown recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Panthers will head out to square off against the Demons at 5:30 p.m. Williamstown took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Ludlow, who comes in off a win.

Ludlow took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 15-7 margin over Holmes. The victory was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Jackson Mays, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double. Ludlow is 7-3 when Mays posts two or more runs, but 1-10 otherwise. Miller Reed was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Williamstown fell victim to Simon Kenton and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 12-0 to the Pioneers.

Ludlow's win bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Williamstown, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Everything went Ludlow's way against Williamstown in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Ludlow made off with an 18-6 victory. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Demons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
