Volleyball Recap: Sonoma Valley Comes Up Short

Sonoma Valley lost against American Canyon back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Dragons lost 3-0 to the Wolves. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Sonoma Valley was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-15, 25-19.

Damian Aceves paced Sonoma Valley's offense, picking up ten kills. Aceves got some help from Skyler Allan Parker and his nine assists. Melchor Alcaraz controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Sonoma Valley's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for American Canyon, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Sonoma Valley has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Rancho Cotate on the 3rd. As for American Canyon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Analy on the 3rd.
